The Account Assistant will support the Accounts Supervisor in performing daily accounting tasks—including expense management, transaction entry, invoice reconciliation, and financial record-keeping—to ensure transparency and efficiency within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee expense reports and reimbursements accurately and timely
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases with precision
  • Reconcile invoices and supporting documentation
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and prepare basic financial summaries
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial records and receipts
  • Support the Accounts Supervisor with ad-hoc reporting and data verification
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of financial information

Required Skills

  • OND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Prior work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and familiarity with finance regulations
  • Strong numerical accuracy and ability to spot errors
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Must reside within Ogudu, Alapere, or Alausa axis
