The Account Manager will serve as a key member of the client management team, leading media engagement efforts and driving proactive communication initiatives. The role requires strong media relationships, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.

Salary: ₦400,000 Monthly

• Serve as a core member of the client management team
• Develop client proposals and implement communications strategies
• Prepare regular client reports and attend client meetings
• Liaise daily with clients and media contacts via phone and email
• Build strong networks with colleagues, clients, and media professionals
• Collate, analyse, and evaluate media coverage
• Manage press conferences, promotional events, and client activations
• Attend and promote client events to the media
• Lead delivery of client-facing media communications in line with briefs
• Oversee press office operations and drive proactive media initiatives
• Identify and mitigate reputational risks, including crisis communications support
• Monitor media developments relevant to client activities
• Research, supervise, and distribute press releases to targeted media
• Promote news stories and features to media ("selling in")
• Develop and execute media relations plans to secure placements across print, TV, radio, and online platforms
• Handle media enquiries and coordinate interviews
• Build and maintain a database of media rate cards and negotiate placements
• Foster strong relationships with national and regional media houses, desks, writers, and editors

• Proven experience in Account Management, Media Relations, or Public Relations
• Strong network within Nigerian national and regional media
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing press releases, media briefings, and crisis communications
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively
• Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• A Master's degree is an added advantage
• Relevant professional certifications in Public Relations or Communications are an added advantage
