Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and code invoices, expense reports, and journal entries accurately in accounting systems.
  • Process accounts payable including vendor setup, approvals, and payment runs.
  • Assist with AR invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up as needed.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes with schedules, accruals, and documentation.
  • Maintain organized digital records and ensure all files are audit-ready.
  • Respond promptly to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoice and payment status.
  • Build and update recurring reports and spreadsheets for the finance team using Excel.

Required Skills

  • 2–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage 100, QuickBooks, or comparable accounting software.
  • Strong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data cleanup capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Solid understanding of double-entry accounting, AP/AR workflows, and reconciliations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comfort managing recurring deadlines independently.
  • Clear written communication skills and self-discipline for effective remote work.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
