Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accounting records, journals, and ledgers.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Perform bank, vendor, and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor expenses and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  • Generate periodic financial and operational reports for management review.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with VAT and WHT computations and statutory remittances where applicable.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain data accuracy within ERP/accounting systems.
  • Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing financial controls and operational efficiencies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
