Job Description

The Architect will develop creative design concepts, detailed blueprints, and 3D renderings, create comprehensive construction documents, navigate building codes and regulations, oversee project timelines, and conduct site assessments and visits.

About the Company

A client in the real estate and construction business in Mainland, Lagos is seeking a detailed-oriented architect to join its team. The organisation focuses on delivering high-quality architectural and construction solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative design concepts, detailed blueprints, and 3D renderings for review.
  • Create comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and permit sets.
  • Navigate local building codes, zoning bylaws, and environmental regulations for approvals.
  • Oversee project timelines, coordinate with engineering consultants, and manage client communications.
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare feasibility studies while ensuring all designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise with engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems seamlessly.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure work aligns with architectural plans, and resolve any structural or design issues that arise.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in architecture (B.Arch).
  • Registered and licensed with ARCON.
  • 2-3 years post-graduation work experience in an architectural firm.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering tools.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating technical drafting, construction documentation, and built work.
  • Membership of Professional Association – NIA.
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills for pitching designs, negotiating budgets, and managing suppliers and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to work through complex zoning restrictions, structural integrity constraints, and environmental impacts.
