The Backend Developer Intern will build and maintain backend APIs for web and mobile platforms, work with databases to manage merchant data, integrate third-party services (payment gateways, email, logistics APIs), collaborate with frontend developers, debug issues, write clean code, and document work.

• Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria (In-house, 3 days/week, 10am – 5pm)

• Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦170,000 per month

• Build and maintain backend APIs for web and mobile platforms.
• Work with databases to manage merchant data, orders, products, and payments.
• Integrate third-party services like payment gateways, email, and logistics APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to connect APIs to product features.
• Debug issues, write clean code, and document your work.

• Good knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Express.js, and the MERN stack.
• Understanding of REST APIs and how they work.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Prisma ORM.
• Basic knowledge of authentication, JWT, and sessions.
• Comfortable with Git and GitHub.
• Reliable, communicative, and eager to learn.
