Job Description

The British Council is offering fresh graduates an experiential learning opportunity to gain real-world experience through a 12-month internship programme in Lagos. The intern will provide operational and administrative support primarily to the Director of Examinations, Nigeria, and will also support the Nigeria Exams Leadership Team with internal communications, logistical support, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of various business initiatives. The role is designed to help early-career professionals build practical skills, professional confidence, and industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and administrative support primarily to the Director of Examinations, Nigeria and other members of the Nigeria Exams Leadership Team
  • Stakeholder correspondence and coordination across internal and external partners
  • Scheduling and organising internal meetings and workshops including logistics planning as may be delegated by the Director of Exams

Required Skills

  • Graduate Level Education (BSc or HND)
  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or have a certificate of exemption
  • Be a recent graduate (maximum 3 years post-NYSC) with excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Have good organisation, time management, and scheduling skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Computer literate with proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite
  • Have an interest in the British Council Examination Products and services
  • Fluency in English Language is essential
  • Existing right to live and work in Nigeria
