Job Description

You'll manage 2-3 client accounts end-to-end: ideation, copywriting, content calendar management, client communication, and performance tracking. You'll work closely with our design team (who creates visuals) and report to our Operations Lead, who coordinates workflow across the team.

This role is NOT:

  • Just scheduling posts (we need strategic thinking)
  • Just writing captions (we need content ideation + calendar ownership)
  • Junior-level support (we need someone who can run accounts independently)

This role IS:

  • Full ownership of client content calendars (2+ weeks ahead at all times)
  • Strategic content ideation that drives engagement + conversions
  • Clear, proactive client communication (weekly updates, flagging issues early)
  • Copywriting across formats (captions, newsletters, blogs, scripts)
  • Collaboration with designers (you design, they design, you QA the final output)

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Ideation (40%)

  • Generate 10-15 content ideas per week per client (Instagram, TikTok, newsletters)
  • Research trends, competitor content, and audience behaviour to inform strategy
  • Propose content themes/campaigns aligned with client goals (product launches, seasonal campaigns, etc.)
  • Maintain rolling 2-week content calendar for all assigned clients (Notion-based)

Copywriting & Design (30%)

  • Write captions, hooks, CTAs for Instagram/TikTok posts (5-10 per week per client)
  • Draft weekly newsletters (if applicable to client)
  • Write blog posts or long-form content (1-2 per month per client)
  • Design Pinterest pins, social media posts, email headers & complementary graphics, and reel covers.
  • Adapt tone/voice to match each client's brand (wellness, fashion, lifestyle)

Client Communication & Account Management (20%)

  • Send weekly Friday updates to clients (status, upcoming content, questions/approvals needed)
  • Respond to client messages within 3 business hours
  • Present content ideas for approval (via Notion or Slack)
  • Proactively flag issues (missing assets, delayed approvals, scope creep)
  • Participate in monthly client strategy calls (prep agenda, take notes, follow up on action items)

Collaboration & Quality Control (10%)

  • Brief designers on visual direction (mood, colours, layout, references)
  • Review designer output before client approval (catch typos, brand inconsistencies, layout issues)
  • Coordinate with video editors on content timelines
  • Update Notion task tracker daily (tasks completed, blockers, deadlines)

Required Skills

Must-Haves:

3+ years experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (agency or freelance)

Portfolio required: Submit 3 client examples showing content calendars you've managed + captions you've written

Strong copywriting skills: You can write engaging captions, newsletters, and blogs across different brand voices

Content ideation skills: You don't need clients to tell you what to post — you come up with ideas proactively

Tool proficiency: Notion (or willingness to learn), Slack, Google Workspace, Canva, social media platforms

Proactive communication: You flag blockers early, send updates without being asked, and solve problems independently

Reliable internet + workspace: You have stable internet and a dedicated workspace for daily 9-6

Others Include: 

  • Experience managing international clients (US, UK, Canada)
  • Familiarity with wellness, fashion, or lifestyle brands
  • Design skills (Canva) for designs.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Flodesk)
  • SEO knowledge (for blog writing)
