A small indie studio of two is developing a story-rich horror RPG called Lizette and Clyde, following two characters trapped inside a cursed theater. The game is being built in Unity and is in early stages of development, featuring a dark atmosphere where the edges of the screen fade to pure black

We are looking for a Character Illustrator to create artwork for the two main characters in our horror RPG. The game has a dark atmosphere, and we envision a style incorporating a lot of black ink tones with simpler color shading. Anime-inspired styles are preferred, but we are open to exploring other ideas. A concept sketch and game screenshots are available for reference.

• Budget: $800 – $2,000 USD

Initial Deliverables
The focus is on the characters first. Initial deliverables include:

• 1 x 3/4 Body Illustration of Lizette + 9 face expressions + 1 alternate arm gesture
• 1 x 3/4 Body Illustration of Clyde + 9 face expressions + 1 alternate arm gesture

Note: Main Menu and Steam Capsule Illustrations will also be needed later, but the focus is on the character art first.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating character illustration skills suitable for a dark, horror-themed game.
• Style should incorporate black ink tones and simpler color shading (anime-inspired preferred).
• Must be willing to grant full commercial rights to all artwork received.
• Important: The studio does not want and does not use Generative AI. AI-generated work will not be accepted.
• Ability to work based on provided concept sketches and game atmosphere.
