• Interpret spoken communication at various occasions, on-site interactions between Chinese and non-Chinese speaking staff.
• Translate documents, articles, reports, meeting and multimedia content from Chinese to English
• Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent with the intended tone
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar clarity and style
• Act as a cultural bridge between the Chinese and Nigerians, facilitating clear communication and mutual understanding.
• Research to understand Construction industry-specific terminology and context

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chinese translator
• BSc. Degree in Chinese Language
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and native-level proficiency in English
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
• Familiarity with translation software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast) is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Translation Linguistics, Languages, or a related field preferred.
