Job Description

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and high-performing City General Manager to take full ownership of the business in Port Harcourt. As the single-threaded owner of city performance, you will hold the P&L accountability and drive the strategic direction for the region. You will be responsible for building a profitable, scalable, and compliant operation. Beyond operational excellence, you will serve as the primary custodian of our brand in Rivers State, representing the organisation, with regulators and enterprise partners, and championing our sustainability goals by actively driving the adoption of energy-efficient vehicles (CNG, EVs) within the city’s fleet. 

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer / COO 

Key Responsibilities

* P&L Ownership & City Strategy 
* Supply Ecosystem & Green Fleet Strategy 
* Demand Growth & Market Penetration 
* Operational Excellence, Safety & Compliance 
* Leadership & Team Development 

Key Metrics & Targets 
* City EBITDA: Positive contribution after allocation. 
* Gross Margin: ≥30% per trip. 
* Seat Utilization: 70–80%. 
* Service Reliability: ≥98% On-time Departure; ≥98% Fulfillment Rate. 
* Growth: ≥8–10% Monthly Active Riders growth. 
* Partner/Customer Retention: ≥90%. 

Required Skills

* Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of professional experience in Operations Management, General Management, Strategy, or Logistics. 
* Leadership: At least 4 years in a P&L ownership or senior supervisory role, preferably managing multi-disciplinary teams. 
* Industry Knowledge: Experience in mobility, tech-logistics, or high-growth startups is strongly preferred. 
* Local Context: Deep understanding of the Port Harcourt market, regulatory landscape (including union dynamics), and transportation dynamics. 

Preferred Skills 
* Data-Driven: Proficiency in using data to track unit economics, fleet utilization, and partner profitability. 
* Stakeholder Management: Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with regulators, unions, and high-value enterprise clients. 
* Operational Grit: Ability to make real-time, difficult decisions to resolve operational disruptions. 

Note: 
Compensation includes a competitive market-based base salary, a performance bonus (20–40% of base) tied to P&L/Reliability, and Long-term Incentives (Equity/Profit-share) subject to tenure and performance.
