International Alert is an organisation working on peacebuilding and development, seeking a Communications Consultant to support communications and visibility activities.

• Develop communications and content plans.
• Produce human-interest stories, case studies and success stories.
• Create digital, social media and multimedia content.
• Translate programme evidence into accessible narratives.
• Develop briefs, newsletters, factsheets and visibility materials.
• Support media engagement, press releases and talking points.
• Coordinate photography and videography assignments.
• Monitor engagement and recommend improvements to communications and visibility.

• Bachelor’s in Communications, Journalism, PR, Media Studies, Development Studies, International Relations or related field.
• 1+ year’s relevant communications experience.
• Experience developing human-interest stories, case studies and impact narratives.
• Digital and social media content experience.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Photography, videography, graphic design or multimedia experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
