The Communications & Digital Marketing Officer will develop and execute digital campaigns, create compelling content, manage online channels, and support publicity activities.

A publishing client is looking for a creative, strategic, and highly organized Communications & Digital Marketing Officer to help grow the visibility of books, authors, and publishing initiatives across Africa and beyond.

• Plan and execute pre-publication, book launch, and post-publication marketing campaigns.
• Create and manage engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the company website.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all communication channels.
• Coordinate digital marketing campaigns, including paid advertising and audience engagement initiatives.
• Track campaign performance and prepare reports covering reach, engagement, traffic, and other relevant metrics.
• Update book information, author profiles, and website content to improve visibility and discoverability.
• Support SEO initiatives and optimize digital content for search.
• Coordinate media outreach, press releases, review copies, and publicity activities.

• Experience in communications, digital marketing, publicity, publishing, media, or a related discipline.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills.
• Good understanding of social media management, content marketing, email marketing, SEO, and digital analytics.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and relevant digital marketing tools.
• Genuine interest in African literature, publishing, storytelling, and audience development.
