The Customer Service Assistant will ensure accurate baggage weight capture, proper tagging, and secure storage of unclaimed items while assisting passengers with excess baggage payments and irregularities. This on-site role requires OND/SSCE qualification and high numeracy skills to identify special needs customers proactively, process COMAT/RUSH bags, coordinate with turnaround teams, and enforce security procedures within busy airport environments in Lagos, Port Harcourt, or Benin City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate capture and processing of baggage weights at check-in desks.
  • Record and store unclaimed Green Africa tagged baggage securely in Arrival hall.
  • Assist customers with luggage and direct those with irregularities to Duty Officers.
  • Advise and assist customers on processing payments for excess baggage.
  • Verify proper destination tagging before conveying baggage to Screening Points.
  • Inspect baggage condition and handle damaged items per company policy.
  • Process all Company Materials (COMATs) and RUSH bags for departing/arriving flights.
  • Proactively identify and assist special needs customers (wheelchair, expectant mothers, infants, groups).
  • Ensure no unattended baggage remains in check-in areas; adhere to security and weight limits.
  • Coordinate with Check-in officers and Turnaround Coordinators to track unloaded baggage.

Required Skills

  • OND or SSCE qualification (Required).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for diverse passenger interactions.
