Job Description

BBC Media Action in Nigeria is seeking a Digital Producer to lead multimedia production for a major Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programme focused on reproductive health and child spacing in Northern Nigeria. This is a fixed-term role for two years, based in Nigeria. The producer will create and schedule digital content for social media platforms in Hausa and English/Pidgin, analyse performance metrics, and identify trending topics to maximise engagement.

· Location: Nigeria (Right to work required)
· Contract: Fixed-term employment (Two years)
· Reports to: Senior Digital Producer
· Programme Focus: Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) on reproductive health and child spacing in Northern Nigeria.
· Languages: Hausa and English/Pidgin.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the production and scheduling of digital content for BBC Media Action's social media platforms in Hausa and English/Pidgin.
· Decide on the most appropriate digital content to produce and determine optimal posting times.
· Mine insights and analyse referral and in-platform metrics to achieve the highest levels of traction, reach, and engagement.
· Provide insight into the behaviour of social media communities.
· Ensure the use of appropriate digital marketing technology tools for content distribution across the web.
· Stay up to date on emerging trends in social media and identify trending editorial topics.
· Work closely with the Senior Digital Producer and other production staff.

Required Skills

· Proven experience in digital content production for social media platforms.
· Ability to produce content in Hausa and English/Pidgin.
· Strong analytical skills to interpret social media metrics and community behaviour.
· Knowledge of digital marketing tools and content distribution strategies.
· Right to work in Nigeria is required.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
