As we scale our Impact, we are seeking a passionate and results-driven Education Counsellor to guide students through academic planning, global admissions pathways, and scholarship opportunities while supporting student recruitment and institutional partnerships.

The Education Counsellor provides expert academic and career guidance to students across STEM, Arts, Business, and Social Science pathways. The role involves designing personalized student pathways, supporting global university applications, and mentoring students through academic and scholarship positioning.

This role is both advisory and growth-oriented. Counsellors are expected to collaborate with internal teams and leverage professional networks with schools and educational institutions to support student recruitment and 828 partnerships.

Student Counselling & Academic Planning

• Provide personalized academic and career counselling aligned with students' goals and global university admission requirements
• Design and manage individualized student academic pathways from secondary education through university placement
• Support subject selection, extracurricular planning, and enrolment into A-Level, AP, Dual Diploma, and other preparatory programmes
• Monitor student progress and provide continuous mentorship throughout their academic Journey
• University Admissions & Scholarship Guidance
• Guide students through application processes for universities in the UK, US, Canada, and other global destinations
• Provide mentorship and editorial guidance for Statements of Purpose, scholarship essays, and Letters of Recommendation while maintaining student authorship
• Prepare students for admission and scholarship interviews
• Support scholarship strategy and positioning for competitive global opportunities

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Systems Management

• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align student academic goals with programme selection
• Maintain accurate student records and engagement data within CRM systems
• Support the development and effective use of Aspiralane's proprietary technology platfor
• Contribute to Aspiralane's mission of expanding global education access across Africa

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, Psychology, International Education, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience in education counselling, admissions consulting, or stude advisory services
• Experience supporting applications to international universities (UK, US, Canada, etc.) is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated professional network within secondary schools, universities, or education-related institutions in Nigeria or internationally

• Experience supporting B2B education partnerships or institutional collaboration is strong preferred

  Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of global university admissions and scholarship processes
• Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills
• Strong writing and editorial ability for academic and scholarship documentation
• Ability to build and manage relationships with schools and institutional partners
• Experience working with CRM systems and digital education platforms is an advantage
• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Ability to work in a target-driven and collaborative environment
