Job Description

We are looking for talented Environment Artists and Character Artists to help create a unique, first-person medieval life simulator. This is a revenue-share collaboration to build a polished Steam demo, with the goal of growing the project into a full indie title. The work is remote and project-based.

  • Compensation: This is a revenue share (rev-share) position. Revenue will be split among the core team once the game launches.
  • Project Vision: The game is a grounded, low-fantasy medieval world inspired by titles like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Mount & Blade, and Bannerlord, focusing on dynamic NPC lives, families, economy, and community.
  • Current Status: A custom game engine and core systems are complete. The immediate goal is to build the first playable valley demo for Steam.

Key Responsibilities

  • For Environment Artists: Create medieval buildings, village structures, farmland assets, forests, foliage, and props for environmental storytelling. The first environment is a valley village surrounded by mountains.
  • For Character Artists: Create villagers, period-appropriate clothing variations, and general medieval character assets. Assistance with basic animation setups may also be part of the role.

Required Skills

  • A strong portfolio showcasing relevant game-ready assets (environments or characters).
  • Experience with creating assets for games is a big plus.
  • A passion for immersive world-building and medieval settings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, ambitious team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
