Job Description

The Facilities Intern will support facility operations, conduct regular checks, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure a safe and functional work environment.

  • Salary: ₦140,000 monthly Gross Stipend

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular checks of offices, restrooms, common areas, and other facility spaces to ensure they are clean, safe, and functional.
  • Record facility issues, maintenance requests, and service concerns, and follow up until they are resolved.
  • Support the coordination of facility services such as cleaning, landscaping, transport, guest house, gym, and laundry services.
  • Assist with planned and emergency maintenance activities for buildings and facility equipment.
  • Work with contractors and service providers to ensure jobs are completed on time and according to requirements.
  • Follow all workplace safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records, service logs, maintenance trackers, and facility documents.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc), Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma (ND) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Must be serving or completed NYSC.
  • Good awareness of workplace safety and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping ability.
  • Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with different stakeholders and teams.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Available to work full-time for the duration of 1 year.
