A company is seeking a Field Engineer to join its Technical – Transmission & Network Engineering team. The organization is dedicated to delivering reliable network infrastructure and telecommunications services.

• Conduct technical site surveys, implementation, and completion of PAT processes for new services, including quality checks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and resolve technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including newly provisioned, re-engineered, and modified services.
• Support cable laying and termination at designated Points of Presence (PoPs), ensuring proper rack and cable management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints in collaboration with GNOC/L2/L3 teams, including on-site visits to customer locations and PoPs.
• Work with fibre vendors to diagnose and resolve fibre-related faults.
• Collaborate with the TX/IP L2/L3 team to troubleshoot network performance issues and implement necessary reconfigurations.
• Provide remote technical support and L1/L2 support for metro networks across the region.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on core network nodes to ensure reliability and consistent uptime.

• Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in telecommunications, transmission, network infrastructure, or technical support is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required.
• Willingness to travel out of station as required.
