The Field Service Technician will maintain and operate solar and hybrid power sites in Minna, troubleshoot PV inverters, commission new equipment, and deliver quality service to ensure high system uptime and customer satisfaction.

• Execute operational and maintenance procedures for solar panels, batteries, inverters, diesel/gas generators, and hybrid systems
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities as scheduled or assigned
• Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of system faults
• Monitor site equipment performance and escalate abnormalities promptly
• Support achievement of site uptime targets (minimum 99%)
• Assist with site installation, system commissioning, equipment configuration, and component replacements
• Ensure proper handling and management of spare parts and tools
• Provide on-site technical support during emergencies or system outages
• Interface professionally with clients, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution
• Comply strictly with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately
• Work closely with Field Service Engineers, NOC, Projects, SCM, and QHSE teams for seamless service delivery
• Maintain accurate logs, service reports, checklists, and documentation

• Minimum of OND or HND in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ hands-on experience in power systems maintenance
• Renewable energy experience is a strong advantage
• Experience with installation, troubleshooting, or repair of electrical/solar/hybrid power systems preferred
• Strong technical and analytical skills with ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
• Basic understanding of electrical safety standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Self-motivated with high level of commitment and ability to thrive under pressure
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• High sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently
• Capable of lifting up to 20kg, standing for extended periods, and working in outdoor environments
• English language proficiency required
