The Field Worker II will clean/sort planting materials for laboratory, screen house, and field trials; assist in planned crosses for cultivar development; assist in field layouts, planting, and harvesting; assist in plant sampling and data collection; and ensure cleanliness of glass/screen house environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean/sort planting materials for Laboratory, Screen house, and field trials.
  • Assist in suggested/planned crosses for the development of cultivars.
  • Assist in field layouts, ensuring timely planting and harvesting of experimental materials.
  • Assist in plant sampling for laboratory analyses.
  • Assist in collecting data on Laboratory, Screen house, and field trials.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of glass/screen house working environments.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills

  • O'level with a minimum of three (3) years' experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

Competencies:

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Data collection and sample sorting skills.
