Job Description

A Front Desk Officer is needed in the healthcare, HMO, or diagnostics industry in Lagos. The role serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, managing patient reception, appointment scheduling, inquiries, and administrative support. This position plays a key role in maintaining the professional image of the facility and ensuring excellent client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and courteous welcome to all clients and visitors
  • Efficiently manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and confirmations
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries with prompt professionalism
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records for all patients and visitors
  • Coordinate with medical and administrative teams for seamless service delivery
  • Oversee facility cleanliness by supervising the maintenance of the premises
  • Manage billing inquiries, administrative documentation, and office supplies
  • Assist HR and management with internal communications and assigned tasks
  • Perform any other related tasks as required and assigned by the Supervisor, Head of Department, and management

Required Skills

  • OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Mass Communication, Office Technology, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in a front desk or administrative role (experience in healthcare or diagnostics preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and customer management systems
  • Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Confidentiality and discretion in handling client information
