We need a Frontend Engineer who can handle all three: mobile app, fleet web dashboard, and admin console. You will work directly with the founder and a UX designer. You will own the frontend from the ground up. There is a path to a founding engineer role with equity for the right person.

Whipcare is building the operating system for vehicle health in Nigeria. The mobile app is live, the fleet dashboard is in design, and the admin console needs to be built. The company is creating a platform for vehicle booking, bidding, GPS tracking, health scores, and fleet management.

What You Will Build

• Mobile app (React Native): B2C car owner flows — booking, bidding, GPS-enhanced live tracking, health score, SaaS dashboard, Vehicle Health Passport, escrow confirmation, dispute raising
• Fleet web dashboard: Batch job booking, per-vehicle tracking, cost analytics, MTTR dashboard, maintenance schedule — web-first, fully mobile-responsive
• Admin console: Real-time KPI dashboard, provider verification queue, dispute management, escrow monitoring, operations map, marketing intelligence
• Provider app (React Native): Bid submission, job tracking, earnings dashboard, tier progression, fleet job management

• Strong proficiency in React and React Native — have shipped both to production
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript — clean code, typed, testable
• Comfortable integrating REST APIs and working with real-time data (WebSocket or polling)
• Experience with maps and geolocation — Google Maps API, GPS tracking, geofencing logic
• Familiarity with AI tools in a development workflow — using Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent to move faster without sacrificing quality
• Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, responsive interfaces without constant hand-holding
• Understanding of mobile UX patterns — know what good feels like on a phone

Nice to Have

• Experience with escrow or fintech payment flows (Paystack integration a bonus)
• Experience building marketplace or multi-sided platform products
• Familiarity with Nigerian market constraints: variable connectivity, diverse device range, WhatsApp-native user behaviour
