Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

  • Support the receipt, storage, preservation, handling, and dispatch of agricultural commodities.
  • Perform daily inventory reconciliation, stock verification, and participate in periodic cycle counts.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, investigate variances, and prepare inventory movement reports.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and transaction records.

Finance, Accounting & Commercial Finance

  • Support warehouse accounting activities, including transaction posting and reconciliations.
  • Assist with inventory costing, commodity valuation, and month-end/year-end financial closing.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable reconciliations relating to warehouse operations.
  • Assist in preparing financial schedules, management reports, and cost control initiatives.
  • Support working capital monitoring, commodity financing, and cash flow reporting.
  • Assist the Trade Finance team with Letters of Credit (LCs), export documentation, and trade settlements.
  • Support treasury activities, including payment processing and bank reconciliations.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Support tax computations, statutory remittances, and reconciliation of VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other obligations.
  • Maintain tax documentation and support compliance with FIRS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist during tax audits and statutory reviews.

Internal Control & Risk Management

  • Support the implementation of internal control procedures across warehouse operations.
  • Conduct routine compliance checks, stock audits, and operational reviews.
  • Investigate inventory variances, identify process gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in implementing audit recommendations and continuous control improvements.

Weighbridge Operations & Quality Assurance

  • Record and verify inbound/outbound truck weights and reconcile weighbridge tickets.
  • Support commodity grading, inspection, sampling, and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain quality control records and support corrective actions.

Sustainability, HSE & Operational Excellence

  • Support sustainability programmes and ESG initiatives, including traceability and responsible sourcing.
  • Promote compliance with HSE policies and participate in safety inspections.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and analyse KPIs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (Minimum Second Class Lower) in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
  • NYSC completed (Discharge Certificate required).
  • 0–2 years post-NYSC work experience.
  • Age: 25 years and below.
  • Professional certifications (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CFA, etc.) are an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a warehouse/operational environment.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Ready to work in Akure or Sagamu.
