The Graphic Design Intern will support the design and production of marketing assets across channels (social, ads, landing pages, email), apply brand guidelines, iterate on design concepts, prepare production-ready files, and contribute ideas for improving visual quality and engagement.

About the Company

SafetyWing (YC W18) is building a global social safety net for remote workers – simple health, insurance, and retirement products designed to replace national welfare systems. The mission is to remove geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunity and freedom for everyone. The company is fully remote, with a team distributed across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and production of marketing assets across channels (e.g., social, ads, landing pages, email).
  • Apply SafetyWing's brand guidelines consistently while learning when and how to push creative boundaries.
  • Iterate on design concepts based on feedback and best practices.
  • Prepare and export production-ready files for different formats and platforms.
  • Conduct lightweight research and reference gathering to inform visual direction.
  • Contribute ideas for improving visual quality, clarity, and engagement across assets.

Required Skills

  • Strong eye for layout, typography, color, and composition.
  • Demonstrates good visual judgment and taste.
  • Portfolio (school, freelance, or personal projects welcome) demonstrating visual range and interest in brand or marketing design.
  • Curious about emerging creative tools and has experimented with motion design or AI-assisted design workflows.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven.
  • Basic understanding of design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma; committed to continuous learning.
  • Eager to understand the 'why' behind design briefs, not just the 'what'.
  • Committed to dedicating 3 months full-time, starting June 2026.
