Job Description

IRIE Resto-Lounge, an upscale fine dining restaurant in the city of Abuja, Nigeria is expanding and we are looking for a passionate and talented individual to fill the position of Head Chef and lead our culinary team. If you are a highly skilled chef that is passionate about modern fusion cuisine, disciplined in kitchen operations, and excited to join a fast-growing hospitality brand, we would love to hear from you! 

Please note that the ideal candidate must be able to read, interpret, and recreate the IRIE fusion menu, which blends Jamaican, Italian, Thai, and Afro-Caribbean influences. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure standard food quality.
  2. Create and update fine dining menus with Jamaican, Italian, Thai, and Afro-Caribbean influences.
  3. Supervise, and mentor kitchen staff.
  4. Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  5. Collaborate with management on menu costing, kitchen strategy, and guest experience.
  6. Maintain the standard of presentation and food consistency

Required Skills

  1. Must be a graduate of a certified culinary school.
  2. Minimum of 3 years professional experience.
  3. Strong expertise in Caribbean, Italian, and Thai cuisine.
  4. Must be willing to relocate (accommodation provided).
  5. Indigenes of other West African countries outside Nigeria are encouraged to apply
