Job Description

Reports to: CEO/Managing Director/Executive Producer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos State

Key Accountabilities: The Head of Sales & Business Development is responsible for building and scaling revenue streams for the organization across advertising, sponsorships, partnerships, branded content, and studio-led offerings. This role exists to convert audience trust, content influence, and brand equity into sustainable commercial value without compromising brand integrity and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute a revenue growth strategy aligned with the show’s content, vision and audience demographics.
2. Design short-, medium-, and long-term commercial plans across TV, digital, events, and studio offerings.
3. Lead sales of advertising slots, show sponsorships, and branded content integrations.
4. Work closely with producers to ensure commercial partnerships align with studio editorial standards.
5. Identify, pitch, and secure strategic partnerships with corporate brands, NGOs and development organisations, Government and policy-driven institutions, Lifestyle, wellness, finance, and consumer brands.
6. Structure partnerships that go beyond ads into long-term collaborations.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with CMOs, brand managers, agencies, and decision-makers.
8. Manage negotiation, contracting, and renewals with clients and partners.
9. Act as the primary commercial face of the brand to external stakeholders.
10. Build and manage the sales pipeline, proposals, and reporting dashboards.
11. Track performance against targets and adjust strategy based on results.
12. Collaborate with finance on invoicing, collections, and revenue reconciliation.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience in Sales, Business Development, or Commercial roles.
• Proven track record in media sales, advertising, sponsorships, or brand partnerships
• Strong network across agencies, brands, and corporate decision-makers in Nigeria.
