Job Description

The HR Manager will oversee the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, acting as an HR Generalist for the organization. The role is responsible for building and managing HR processes that support a fast-growing fintech business, ensuring regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and effective talent management.

Note: Payroll preparation is excluded from this role.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations

  • Manage end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and exits.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in line with Nigerian labor laws and fintech regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, FCCPC guidelines, NDPR, and internal company policies.

Recruitment & Talent Management

  • Lead recruitment efforts for technical, operations, and support roles across the organization.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver timely hiring solutions.
  • Coordinate onboarding programs to ensure smooth employee integration and productivity.

Performance & Employee Engagement

  • Implement performance management systems, appraisals, and feedback processes.
  • Support managers in handling employee performance, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive company culture.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate internal or external learning programs.
  • Support leadership development and workforce capability building.
  • HR Advisory & Reporting
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to management on people-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports, insights, and metrics for management decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3–4 years experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in fintech, financial services, tech, or a fast-paced startup environment is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Good understanding of compliance requirements (NDPR, regulatory-facing environments).
