Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and processing trade documents: Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin.
  • Support Form M initiation and basic interactions for NXP/PAAR, SONCAP, NAFDAC where applicable.
  • Pursue shipping line invoices and receipts.
  • Pursue terminal invoices and receipts.
  • Monitor shipment status and help track ETAs and clearance progress.
  • Maintain accurate filing of shipment records for audit and compliance.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines under supervision.
  • Report documentation discrepancies and escalate as needed.
  • Support cost-control and vendor communication tasks.

Required Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Shipping & Logistics, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in import operations, freight forwarding, or logistics (internship experience is acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of Incoterms and HS Codes.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian import documentation such as Form M, SONCAP, and NAFDAC is an advantage.
  • Good attention to detail, proficiency in MS Excel and email, and strong communication skills.
