Our client, a growing retail company, is seeking Sales & In-Store Merchandising Officers to support day-to-day supermarket and retail operations. The role combines customer-facing sales with in-store merchandising, requiring individuals who can engage customers, drive sales, maintain excellent product presentation, and ensure the sales floor remains well-stocked, organised, and visually appealing.

• Welcome customers, understand their needs, and provide helpful product recommendations.
• Drive sales through proactive customer engagement, product knowledge, cross-selling, and upselling.
• Explain product features, prices, promotions, and available alternatives to customers.
• Maintain excellent customer service throughout the shopping experience.
• Ensure products are properly arranged, displayed, labelled, and replenished on the sales floor.
• Organise products by category, brand, size, colour, or other relevant merchandising standards.
• Monitor shelves and displays and ensure fast-moving products are promptly replenished.
• Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and special in-store displays.
• Ensure price tags, promotional materials, and product information are correctly displayed.
• Keep assigned sections clean, organised, and visually appealing at all times.
• Monitor customer preferences and provide feedback on product demand, presentation, and sales opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products and increase basket value.
• Assist with stock counts, inventory checks, and reporting of damaged, missing, or low-stock items.
• Work closely with the store and inventory teams to maintain accurate product availability.

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in sales, retail, supermarket operations, merchandising, or customer service.
• Previous experience in a supermarket, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or other retail environment is an advantage.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good product presentation and organisational skills.
• Ability to actively sell, upsell, and cross-sell products.
• Basic understanding of stock management and inventory processes.
• Energetic, presentable, customer-focused, and commercially minded.
• Ability to work on-site and stand/walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a retail team.
