The Inland Coordinator will manage inland transportation operations and ensure efficient coordination of import and export shipments within the shipping and logistics industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Process online and manual bookings while maintaining accurate booking information.
  • Coordinate import and export shipment activities including movement tracking and updates.
  • Update customer loading locations and shipment details ensuring data accuracy.
  • Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational discrepancies with internal teams and vendors.
  • Allocate and authorize work orders in compliance with operational procedures.
  • Ensure timely container movements and monitor truck availability and vendor performance.
  • Verify tariffs, additional charges, and invoice accuracy coordinating with Finance and Accounts Payable.
  • Generate and process additional shipment costs and support invoice processing activities.
  • Liaise with customers on placement schedules, delivery requirements, and transportation costs.
  • Coordinate with port terminals and clearing agents to facilitate container releases and gate passes.
  • Arrange replacement of damaged containers and ensure timely completion of inland movements.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and maintain accurate shipment records.
  • Handle Salesforce, Contact Centre, and after-hours communications to support business continuity.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years experience in inland logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or container transportation.
  • Good understanding of import/export documentation, container logistics, and inland transportation processes.
  • Experience working with shipping and logistics systems and operational reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management, shipment coordination, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and logistics management systems.
