The Internal Audit Trainee will support the Internal Audit Manager in examining financial records, testing internal controls, and maintaining audit documentation, gaining hands-on experience in risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Execution: Assist senior auditors with field testing, walkthroughs, and substantive procedures based on established audit plans.
  • Data Analysis: Review financial statements, ledgers, and transaction records to identify variances or errors.
  • Documentation: Organize working papers, gather audit evidence, and record observations clearly.
  • Control Evaluation: Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal financial and operational controls.
  • Reporting Support: Help draft summaries, findings, and recommendations for audit reports.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a First Class or Second Class Upper (2.1) grade.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and general database tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and an eagerness to learn.
  • High standard of integrity and commitment to maintaining data confidentiality.
