• Build and maintain backend features using NodeJS, MySQL, Redis, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code meeting high-scale web environment standards
• Assist in debugging and resolving production issues across services
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Frontend, and other teams to deliver new features
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback into work
• Monitor application performance and help investigate system issues
• Contribute to technical documentation and internal tooling
• Support maintenance and improvement of APIs, services, and backend systems
• Continuously improve technical skills and understanding of Chowdeck's systems

• Fundamental knowledge of Node, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Experience building software projects through internships, coursework, bootcamps, personal projects, or professional work
• Ability to write code meeting standards for style, maintainability, testability, and best practices
• Curious mindset with willingness to learn and approach problems creatively
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others
• Ownership mentality with comfort in asking questions when support is needed
• Passion for building products that create great customer experiences
