Job Description

The Junior Human Resources Officer will support recruitment, onboarding, and compliance while working directly with the HR Manager. This role offers hands-on exposure to real HR operations in a growing pharmaceutical retail environment.

  • Job Location: New Oko Oba, Lagos
  • Employment Type: Full-Time (6 days/week)
  • Salary: ₦120,000 – ₦150,000 gross/month
  • Benefits: HMO, 13th month, 18 days annual leave

About the Company

The Pharmaceutical Company runs 8 retail pharmacies across Lagos and Ogun state. The company is expanding and needs a Junior HR Officer to support its 60+ staff with recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Support

  • Collate roles, screen CVs, schedule interviews, and coordinate onboarding for 5-10 new hires monthly.

Employee Records

  • Maintain staff files, update HRIS, track contracts, leave, and probation periods.

Compliance

  • Assist with payroll and pension filings. Prepare documents for audits.

Employee Relations

  • Handle first-point queries on leave, benefits, and policy. Escalate complex cases to HR Manager.

HR Reports

  • Generate weekly headcount and attendance reports using Excel/Google Sheets.

Required Skills

  • B.Sc/HND in HR Management, Industrial Relations, Sociology, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field. CIPM student membership is a plus.
  • 1-2 years in HR, Admin, or Intern role. Fresh graduate with strong NYSC HR/Admin experience considered.
  • Good with Excel/Google Sheets, detail-oriented, discreet with confidential information, strong written communication.
  • Basic understanding of Nigerian Labour Act and statutory deductions.
  • Resides in Ikeja, Ogba, Akute, Maryland, or willing to relocate.
