This on-site role in Lekki offers early-career lawyers the opportunity to manage end-to-end real estate transactions, from title searches to contract negotiation, while gaining specialized expertise in land perfection processes and corporate governance for high-value developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, land purchase agreements, deeds of assignment, and leases.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence and title searches at relevant state land registries.
  • Manage statutory compliance including CAC filings, tax authority submissions, and land registry perfection.
  • Liaise with external counsel, government agencies, and stakeholders to resolve property disputes.
  • Provide legal advisory support on property acquisitions, risk mitigation, and JV structures.
  • Maintain organized records of all legal documents and transaction timelines.
  • Monitor changes in Nigerian property laws and advise management on implications.
  • Support corporate governance initiatives and board secretarial functions as needed.

Required Skills

  • LL.B degree from a recognized university (Mandatory).
  • Called to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.) and qualified to practice law in Nigeria (Required).
  • Must have completed NYSC programme (Non-negotiable).
  • 0–2 years of core legal experience specifically in real estate, property law, or corporate practice.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian property laws, land perfection processes, and transaction workflows.
  • Exceptional contract drafting, legal research, and negotiation capabilities.
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with preparing and processing real estate transaction documents.
  • Professional integrity and discretion when handling sensitive property matters.
