Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in routine and preventive maintenance of trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, and mechanical equipment
  • Support diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical faults in engines, transmissions, braking, and hydraulic systems
  • Monitor vehicle performance metrics and report maintenance requirements promptly
  • Assist in maintenance planning, spare parts inventory tracking, and basic documentation
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, operational, and maintenance standards at all times
  • Work closely with senior engineers and maintenance technicians on-site for knowledge transfer
  • Participate in field inspections and workshop repair activities as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history

Required Skills

  • Male candidates only (due to field and workshop operational demands)
  • B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
  • NYSC completed in 2024 or 2025
  • Must not be more than 26 years of age
  • Strong technical interest in truck haulage and/or mining operations
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical components, and maintenance practices
  • Proactive, diligent, and willing to learn in a demanding operational environment
  • Ability to work physically in both field and workshop settings
