The Management Trainee – Bid Writing and Proposal Development will support the drafting of technical and financial components of proposals while identifying new business opportunities within the organization.

R-DATS Consulting is a research and advisory firm dedicated to generating evidence for impact. The organization specializes in interpreting complex international donor requirements and designing competitive research methodologies for clients such as the World Bank, UNICEF, and FCDO.

• Identify new business and funding opportunities
• Support the drafting of technical and financial components of proposals including project context and research methodologies
• Support the development of proposal compliance matrices, work plans (Gantt charts), and staffing structures
• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to support proposal backgrounds
• Assist with the creation of business plans, financial models, and strategic pitches
• Analyze business data and develop internal performance dashboards
• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior management
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and overall organizational growth

• Master’s degree in International Development, Economics, Business, Public Policy, Public Health, Demography, Sociology, Entrepreneurship, or a related social science field
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, project organization, and documentation abilities
• Proficiency or moderate comfort level with AI productivity tools is highly advantageous
• Solid conceptual understanding of research designs (experimental, quasi-experimental, and mixed-methods)
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization or dashboards is an asset
• Strong passion for business analysis, market research, proposal writing, and international development work
• Abuja-based candidates are strongly preferred
