Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Operate mechanical tools including wrenches, grinders, welding machines, and measuring instruments.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals accurately.
  • Support fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical components.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and workshop safety rules.
  • Maintain equipment/tools and keep proper records of jobs completed.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to solve technical problems.

Required Skills

  • B.Eng / B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • NYSC completed or exemption certificate.
  • 0–2 years experience; fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Practical knowledge of mechanical tools and workshop equipment (Essential).
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software is an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Must be currently based in Port Harcourt.
