We’re hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Medical Virtual Assistant to support a U.S.-based client in the healthcare sector. This role is ideal for an organized professional who can manage patient communication, handle medical administrative tasks, and work efficiently across time zones while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Toluwalope Oyewusi (Linkedin Recruiter) is a senior HR manager with the intent to hire young talents for clients.

1. Manage patient communication via email, phone, and secure messaging
2. Schedule and coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and reminders
3. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA
4. Assist with medical billing, insurance verification, and claim follow-ups
5. Prepare and organize patient charts and clinical notes
6. Support telehealth sessions and virtual appointments
7. Track and manage provider calendars
8. Perform administrative tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality

1. HIPAA certification and strong knowledge of patient privacy
2. Proven experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or similar healthcare support role
3. Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (Athenahealth, Kareo, Epic, eClinicalWorks)
4. Background in healthcare, medical terminology, or clinical support is a plus
5. Ability to work U.S. CST hours remotely
6. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and claims processing
2. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related fields
