We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MS SQL DBA to manage a database environment in Lagos. This role involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

• Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server instances on-premises and on cloud infrastructure
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and optimize server configurations
• Design and manage backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions like Always On Availability Groups
• Apply security measures such as user permissions, role-based access, and encryption
• Automate routine maintenance tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or other scripting tools
• Perform daily reviews of SQL Server logs, failed Agent jobs, and storage space

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3+ years of proven experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment
• Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server (2019, 2022+), T-SQL, and HA/DR technologies
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, SSIS for ETL, and SSRS or Power BI for reporting
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate preferred
