The Operations Support Officer will oversee the smooth handling of shipments, manage logistics flow from package inspection to drop-off coordination, and ensure full compliance with all operational standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Core Operations

  • Resume at the designated drop-off location each morning as required.
  • Accurately receive and inspect all incoming packages, verifying both actual and volumetric weight.
  • Approve shipment labels and meticulously document the process by taking necessary pictures and videos.
  • Grant final approval for shipments and initiate the generation of corresponding waybills.
  • Coordinate the timely return of packages to customers following inspection and approval.
  • Organize and coordinate with customers to drop off approved packages at DHL, FedEx, UPS, and other carrier facilities.
  • Proactively follow up on all inspected and approved shipments to confirm a seamless logistics process.

Operational Efficiency

  • Monitor shipment status and address any logistical or compliance issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, customers, and carrier facility representatives.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all shipments, inspections, approvals, and process documentation.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize shipment workflow.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Good communication skills — written and verbal.
  • Basic familiarity with logistics processes or carrier operations is an advantage.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Candidates must be based in or around Trade Fair, or within Ojo Local Government Area.
  • Level: Junior / Entry-Level
