Outreachy is a diversity initiative of Software Freedom Conservancy that provides internships in open source. The program provides internships to anyone from any background who faces underrepresentation, systemic bias, or discrimination in the technical industry where they are living. Outreachy's goal is to increase diversity in open source

• Internships run: May 18 – August 17, 2026

December 2026 Internships:

• Intern applications accepted: early August to mid August 2026
• Applicants contribute to projects: late September to late October 2026
• Internships run: early December 2026 to early March 2027
