A road construction company is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to ensure timely acquisition of operational materials and maintain supplier relationships for uninterrupted project delivery. This role requires specialized knowledge of construction supplies including equipment spares, lubricants, diesel, and PPE within a demanding engineering environment.

• Procure tools, equipment spares, lubricants, diesel, PPE, consumables, and operational support items
• Source reliable vendors and obtain competitive quotations through RFQ processes
• Negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms effectively with suppliers
• Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain accurate procurement documentation records
• Track orders actively and ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites
• Liaise with site teams, stores, and finance departments to fulfill procurement requests promptly
• Monitor stock levels of critical operational items and recommend timely replenishment
• Maintain an up-to-date database of approved and vetted suppliers
• Ensure strict compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory procedures

• HND or B.Sc. in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years’ procurement experience preferably in construction sector
• Specific experience in construction, engineering, or heavy equipment industry required
• Demonstrated knowledge of procuring tools, equipment spares, lubricants, diesel, PPE, and consumables
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities for cost optimization
• Proficiency in raising RFQs, Purchase Orders, and maintaining procurement documentation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications for data tracking
• Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional coordination
• Must currently reside in Ibadan or demonstrate willingness to relocate immediately
