Product & QA Test Intern Job at Whipcare – Apply Now

WhipcareNigeriaFull-Time

Job Description

The Product & QA Test Intern will own QA execution across the full platform, write test plans and test cases, provide developer QA sign-off, support PRD writing, and manage regression cycles for a three-sided marketplace.

  • Job Location: Not Specified
  • Employment Type: Internship (6 months, with direct pathway to Product & QA Associate)
  • Salary: Not stated

About the Company

Whipcare is Nigeria's verified vehicle health marketplace, connecting car owners and fleet operators in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Enugu to trusted mechanics through escrow payments, a service history passport, and a B2B fleet dashboard. The company launched on July 1st and is a live, growing startup with real users and real transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • QA execution across the full platform: every feature tested before it touches a real user.
  • Test plan and test case writing for a three-sided marketplace — vehicle owners, service providers, and fleet operators each have distinct flows.
  • Developer QA sign-off: engineering doesn't ship without your clearance.
  • PRD support: writing and refining product requirement documents alongside engineering.
  • Sprint coordination: translating product decisions into clear, buildable specifications.
  • Regression cycle management: new releases don't break what already works.

Required Skills

  • Have tested something before and can describe what was found, why it mattered, and what happened when it was fixed.
  • Think in edge cases.
  • Notice what breaks before other people do.
  • Can write a bug report an engineer can act on without follow-up questions.

How to Apply:
Interested and qualified candidates should send an email to zacwurld@gmail.com with the subject: "Product & QA Intern Application — [Your Name]". Include your CV and a cover letter answering every one of the following questions:

  1. What have you tested before? Describe the product, the environment, and the tools you used.
  2. What is the most important bug or issue you found? What was the impact of fixing it?
  3. What specifically did you own — and what did you only support?
  4. What would the last engineer or PM you worked with rate your attention to detail, on a scale of 1–10, and why?
  5. What part of QA or product work do you genuinely not enjoy?
  6. Why do you want to intern at Whipcare specifically — not just any startup?

Applications that do not answer all six questions will not be reviewed.

Why this internship might be a good fit:
This role is suitable for a detail-oriented individual with QA experience who thinks in edge cases, enjoys testing and product work, and wants to own QA on a live Nigerian marketplace with a clear pathway to a full-time Product & QA Associate role.
