Job Title: Associate, West Africa Fellows Program
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Type: Full-time

Acumen West Africa is seeking a skilled and highly organized program professional with 3 years of experience to support the operations and coordination of the West Africa Fellows Program. This role will support the launch and effective delivery of Acumen’s first Climate Themed Fellowship, a leadership development program supporting early-stage social enterprises in the African green economy that are creating dignified jobs for women and youth.

The West Africa Fellows Program was launched in 2019 as a transformative, cohort-based leadership program for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to addressing poverty. The Program Associate will support program operations, coordination, and administrative delivery for the Climate-Focused West Africa Fellows Program. By ensuring strong program operations across recruitment, selection, and delivery, the Associate will play a key role in enabling high-quality learning experiences through operational excellence.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in programme operations, coordination, or administration (fast-paced environments preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and data management skills; ability to maintain trackers and prepare summaries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with tools like SurveyMonkey, HubSpot, Canva, and similar platforms is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with social entrepreneurs and the social impact sector in West Africa.
  • Experience coordinating cross-country programmes is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation (courtesy, tact, empathy, reliability).
  • Self-reflective and aligned with Acumen's values and mission.
  • Permanently authorized to work in Lagos, Nigeria.
