About the Company

Grace Maternal Foundation is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to improving maternal and child health in under-served communities in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, send and follow up approved donation requests.

  • Work with volunteers to organize collection points, track donated items and coordinate collection and distribution arrangements.

Volunteer Coordination

  • Agree tasks and timelines with volunteers, follow up outstanding actions and help resolve practical challenges.

Maternal Follow-up

  • Coordinate with the programme nurse and community volunteers to maintain records of antenatal attendance, transport support, referrals and postnatal follow-up.

Partnership Development

  • Identify relevant primary healthcare centers, community leaders and local organizations, and initiate approved introductory outreach.

  • Identify suitable grants and corporate giving programmes as time allows, recording eligibility requirements and deadlines.

Reporting and Handover

  • Maintain organized templates, contact lists, donation records and activity trackers in a shared drive.
  • Submit a brief weekly update and a final report with outstanding actions and recommendations.

Required Skills

  • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in programme support, community development, volunteer coordination, or non-profit administration. Relevant volunteer experience is welcome.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.
  • Confidence using Google Docs, Sheets and Drive.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, follow up consistently and work independently.
  • An interest in maternal health and under-served communities.
  • Discretion when handling personal information and programme records.
  • Access to a functional laptop and reliable internet.

Benefits

  • A paid, flexible, three-month remote contract.
  • The opportunity to contribute to a growing maternal health organization.
  • Direct collaboration with the Founder.
  • A reference upon satisfactory completion of the contract.

How to Apply
Interested candidates should send their CV and a short statement of no more than 300 words explaining their relevant experience, interest in maternal health, and how they would approach the three-month role to info@gracematernalfoundation.org using "Programme Coordinator Application and name" as the subject. Application deadline: 20th October 2026.

Why This Job Might Be a Good Fit
This role suits someone with early programme or volunteer coordination experience who wants hands-on NGO delivery work rather than office-based administration. Because the role covers donor outreach, volunteer management, and maternal follow-up, it builds practical programme coordination experience in the health and development sector, with direct founder collaboration.
