The Recruitment Intern will assist with sourcing candidates, screening applications, and coordinating hiring processes for field operations supporting smallholder farmers. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes including job posting, screening, and interview coordination.
  • Source candidates for field-based roles through local networks, universities, and community channels.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and tracking within Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Analyze recruitment data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate communication between hiring managers, candidates, and HR team members.
  • Support onboarding logistics and documentation for new hires in rural locations.
  • Utilize Google Workspace tools for reporting, scheduling, and collaborative document management.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational hiring policies and ethical recruitment standards.
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and special assignments as needed.
  • Represent One Acre Fund professionally during campus visits and community engagements.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field of study (Required).
  • 6 months to 1 year of recruitment or HR experience, preferably in fast-paced environments.
  • Passion for One Acre Fund’s mission to serve smallholder farmers (Essential Cultural Fit).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive) for daily operations.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Greenhouse is a significant plus.
  • Basic data analysis skills with ability to identify patterns in hiring metrics.
  • Strong learning agility, curiosity, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (Mandatory).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work in Minna and understand rural community dynamics.
