The Restaurant Accountant will process all financial transactions, reconcile accounts, prepare data/reports, handle inward/outward invoicing, ensure proper valuation of monthly stock counts, prepare variance reports, and monitor budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process data through sales and purchase ledgers from invoice receipt to transaction completion.
  • Reconcile bank statements with payment vouchers, purchase ledgers, and sales ledgers.
  • Process financial transactions through Sage and other accounting applications.
  • Determine costs of performances, functions, and activities to facilitate analysis and valid comparisons among time periods.
  • Perform monthly stock valuation, stock taking, stock reconciliation, and budget monitoring.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and inter-branch accounts reconciliation.

Required Skills

  • BSC/HND in Accounting.
  • At least 1 year cognate experience; fresh school leavers with relevant professional certification (ACA, ACCA) can also apply.
  • Excel data analytics skills; ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Attentive with a keen eye for details.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and pressured environment.
  • Computer literate with commendable use of Standard Office Applications, Microsoft Operating System, and Accounting Applications such as NAV, SAGE (Peachtree), QuickBooks, DacEasy, etc.
