The Retail Associate will support Salon Managers in the Lekki store, assisting customers with product selection, driving retail sales, and maintaining the retail area.

• Job Location: Sea Mall – Left Wing 3, First Floor, Plot 13, Block 12, Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos
• Employment Type: Full-Time (5 days per week, 8 hours per day, some Sunday shifts 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
• Salary: ₦220,000–₦250,000 net monthly

Kinky Apothecary is Nigeria's pioneer one-stop natural hair company, launched 15 years ago as the country's first natural hair retail platform. The brand restructured in 2020 to adopt a science- and data-driven approach to democratising the haircare industry. It is building the beauty brand of the future, rooted in African culture, and is expanding its new Lekki Salon + Retail Store.

• Assist customers with product selection and provide informed product recommendations.
• Drive retail sales, including cross-selling products alongside salon services.
• Maintain product displays, merchandising standards and the overall presentation of the retail area.
• Monitor inventory, conduct stock counts and flag replenishment requirements.
• Process retail transactions accurately and maintain appropriate sales and stock records.

• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Previous retail experience is preferred but not compulsory; candidates with relevant sales or customer-service experience from other industries may also be considered.
• Previous beauty-retail experience and knowledge of natural hair or haircare products is an advantage but not compulsory.
• A "people person" who can get on with junior staff, senior management and customers alike.
• A team player.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Honesty, reliability and punctuality.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting or moving product inventory.
