Job Description

The Sales Officer will conduct field operations in assigned communities, mobilize clients for microfinance products, leverage knowledge of Ajo/Esusu systems to build trust, and achieve sales targets while serving as the primary link between underserved populations and formal financial services within the organisation’s branch network.

  • Job Location: Deployed to nearest branch among 27+ locations including Ayobo, Egbeda, Mushin, Ikeja, Yaba, Agege, Sango, Mowe, Ajah, Festac, Alaba, Agric, Mile 12, etc.
  • Employment Type: Full-Time (Field-Based)
  • Salary: ₦150,000 Net Monthly + Unlimited Commission + HMO + Transport Support + Incentives

About the Company

SeedForce is seeking proactive and target-driven Sales Officers to drive financial inclusion through community engagement and field operations. This role offers competitive net salary plus unlimited commission, HMO, and transport support for professionals with deep understanding of informal savings systems like Ajo/Esusu who can deploy to neighborhood bank branches across Lagos and Ogun States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field operations within assigned community territories to identify potential clients
  • Mobilize individuals and groups for microfinance savings and loan products using culturally relevant approaches
  • Leverage deep understanding of Ajo/Esusu and informal savings systems to convert traditional savers to formal banking
  • Achieve monthly sales targets for account openings, deposits, and loan disbursements consistently
  • Educate community members on financial literacy and benefits of formal financial inclusion
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline activities in reporting tools
  • Build trust-based relationships with community leaders, market associations, and cooperative groups
  • Attend weekly branch meetings and submit performance reports to supervisors promptly
  • Provide feedback on market dynamics and competitor activities from field observations

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in field operations, microfinance, cooperative systems, or related grassroots roles
  • Strong practical understanding of informal savings systems including Ajo, Esusu, and thrift collections
  • Target-driven mindset with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals in previous roles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging diverse community demographics
  • Physical stamina and willingness to work extensively outdoors in varying neighborhood conditions
  • Integrity and ethical conduct essential for handling community finances and sensitive data
  • Familiarity with assigned deployment location and existing community networks advantageous
  • Basic digital literacy for mobile banking apps and CRM data entry
